Book Review: Jurisprudence: Theory and Context by Brain H. Bix

Jurisprudence: Theory and Context by Brain H. Bix

Brain is a professor of law and Philosophy at University of Minnesota. The book which I am reviewing is 7th edition published in 2015. The book is of introductory nature for young students. However, it is better to have some basic idea about jurisprudence and the theories of law, before reading this book. The book is mind-blowing, and it is helpful for the people who don’t have any idea of Philosophy, especially the student of B.Sc. LL.B. and B.BA. LL.B. In the very beginning author marks that this book in not to replace the general text books and original works of jurists. In my consideration, this book is an addition of text books, and will be helpful to dismiss the doubts of young students. The book touches the practicality of jurisprudential theories and it brings the fictional ideas to applicability.
