Drug Slang and Music Regulation as Legal Requisite

Abstract

Human has god gifted abilities, that makes it to think and apply mind to solve any kind of problem. This inquisitive behaviour sometimes gives trouble to achieve a stability (mental peace and pleasure). Drugs and music are one of the tools to achieve these goals. These two tools have very close connection known as drug slangs. It is important to observe the relation between two, because, drugs overdose is severely menace to mind and healthy body. This study articulates few scientific and social study of foreign countries, and tries to compare with the drug environment created by music in India. It is useful to know the side effects of enormous use of drug slangs in music, which is acute danger to life of youngsters and future of India. The study also focusses on various ways through which a drug slang music use to affect human mind. Massive use of such slangs, is indeed, to be regulated by a comprehensive law as proposed by Ellen P. Hagger.

Introduction

Music is has been a tool for advancing mind toward peace and pleasure. It is hard to accept that music attain aggressiveness and intense desire of pleasure. It can also use to deviate youngsters toward violence and immoral activities. The researches across the world have recognised swaying of ill will between people and benevolence (compassion) because of coarse use of drug slang. Indian have also adopted western musical style where drug slangs are evident.

A drug is a chemical to which people are exposed in order to treat or prevent an illness, wound or disease. Drugs are also used as narcotic substances, observed by people for its pleasant effects, but which are usually illegal. Access to drugs more than permitted amount is injuries to health, that why government puts restriction on it and regulated it strictly. But, many times government fails to save people from harmful effects of these drugs. In last December two people died because of overdose of drugs in Goa Sunburn festival. Access to these nasty drugs had not been very hard for rich people, especially celebrities from the field of films and music. The musicians and film makers often makes films and songs which are biased on drugs. The influence of music and films have a great influence on people at large.

The relation of drug (e.g. alcohol) with women and songs have treated as unethical (anti-social). However, it has a long history, where the rich (e.g. King) has availed the drugs for pleasure. Now a days many musicians and celebrities (film artists) have become popular by positive and negative depiction of drug uses. Use of drug slang, increasing day by day, arose aggressive mood of youngsters. Therefore, it requires legal polices to regulate and control the influence of drugs on society at large.

Drug abuse have been an incremental factor to the crimes (especially against women), where the music and the musician in digital age plays a role. In various research it has been found that the drug has a close bond with music. The liberty to tweet drug slangs, however passive, are provocative to venerable population. Teenagers and students often fail to recognise bad music that may alter their behavioural values toward drugs. This study is trying to specify the place of ‘drug slangs’ in law and need to declare it unlawful. Therefore, this research intends to observe practices of drug slangs and the requirements of law regulate the drug slangs in any musical works and films.
